cabin fever

Hi girls! Well, after 2 1/2 feet of snow and over two days in my house later with my parents and brother I am ready to get out of here!! My dad and I went Christmas shopping Friday afternoon and the snow started to fall and it didn't stop until yesterday evening. Being snowed in wouldn't have been too bad however we lost power at about 10:30 yesterday morning which made for a very long and cold day at my house!

This is my backyard. I have never seen this much snow in my entire life! We spent most of the day yesterday reading and staying huddled by the fire. It was nice to spend the uninterrupted time with my family but after continuing to be trapped inside today we're all pretty sick of sitting around staring at each other.

The snow was so deep it wasn't even fun to play in. It came up to my knees! After sleeping with two down comforters on my bed last night I woke up this morning just in time for the electricity to be back and the heat to cut on! They haven't plowed our road yet or even the main roads in my town so who knows when we will get out, it might be Tuesday! If it wasn't for my Blackberry yesterday and Twitter updates from my local news station I'm not sure what we would have done! The snow did put me in the Christmas spirit though. I just hope our roads are clear by Christmas eve so we can still go to church and dinner and have our family and friends visit on Christmas day! For those of you who were hit by the storm I hope you're able to leave your house and for those of you who didn't get any snow, enjoy the pictures! I hope you all had great weekends :)

It looks so pretty, and yes I'm jealous because I will never see snow like that here in my hometown. I'm so glad the electricity came back on! Stay warm and I'm praying that you will be able to get out and about soon!:)

So pretty. We got 14 inches and I love it. Luckily for us though we didn't get plowed in and the streets have been plowed a couple of times.

I am so jealous! You would laugh your butt off right now if you saw my neighborhood! It is 47 degrees here, and yes that is cold for FL, but my neighbor has bags and sheets over her bushes. Come on lady, it's not 47 below!!!!
